A frame may be just as important as the piece of art - or it enhances what it surrounds. This frame was hand-crafted and painted to complement the art's style and color. A newly opened frame shop, by the same people as The New Orleans Conservation Guild, Inc., will carry a stock of unusual frames, restore your antique frames or duplicate historic frame. Staffed by artists and conservators, the Gallery of Antique Frames is the only one of its kind outside of New York and Washington, D.C., says Blake Vonden Haar, president of the guild. After spending years collecting frames, Vonden Haar is sharing her knowledge and expertise with the city.
