PRINTMAKING – Pattern Block Printing

May 14 & 21, 2012 (2 WEEKS)

Description: This class will use the reduction-print process to produce multi-colored quilt-like patterns on paper.  We will begin by carving geometrical designs into small linoleum squares, which can then be repeatedly printed to produce a larger image.  Students will learn the basics of linoleum cut printmaking and will leave this 2-day workshop with beautiful multi-colored prints resembling quilts.
